Croesus Named One of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for a Second Consecutive Year

Montreal, March 9, 2016 – Croesus was named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2015 for a second consecutive year. Once again, the company is renowned for its world-class business practices and its ability to create value in innovative ways.

Established in 1993, the Best Managed program recognizes Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $10 million demonstrating strategy, capability and commitment to achieve sustainable growth. The program is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post, Smith School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums.

“I would like to recognize the entire efforts of Croesus. It takes a dedicated effort from an entire team to focus on a core vision, create stakeholder value and excel in the global economy to achieve this level of success,” said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.

Over the years, Croesus has managed to carve out a forefront position in Canada, where it now holds 45% of the market share. As a result of continuous efforts in maintaining expertise and favoring innovation, the company continues to grow. Income and workforce have expanded by 116% and 188% respectively over the past five years.

“We owe this prestigious title to our employees. Because of their expertise and commitment, we can develop forward-thinking solutions and build privileged partnerships with each of our clients.” stated Croesus President, Mr. Rémy Thérrien.

Selected by an independent jury, winners were evaluated on their overall business performance, including leadership, strategy, core competencies, cross-functional collaboration throughout organization and talent.

“CIBC celebrates the 2015 winners of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, who have each demonstrated the highest levels of business excellence,” said Jon Hountalas, Executive Vice-President, Business and Corporate Banking, CIBC. “This year’s winners reinforce the significant impact that private companies make here in Canada by pursuing innovation and investing in meeting the needs of their clients.”
